Most charter flights arrive to Aqaba, built for tourism, hence the travellers arrive to a city with eastern ambience, yet equipped according to western demand. Accommodation is available to all, meeting to most enormous range of demand. Reservation is possible in advance in every hotel. According to your wishes, we could meet at the airport, later at the hotel or at another part of the city to start our journey together. Aqaba lies on the coast of the Red Sea, so in addition to bathing, scuba-diving is also possible on the spot. Those, who do not wish to use this possibility, yet are interested in the rich sea-life, can visit the Aquarium or rent a glass-floored boat and sail out to the coral reef. Next to the city’s markets, shops and wonderful beaches it is worth visiting the Mameluk fortress which can be found on the coast, with a historical past of over seven-hundred years; next to the fortress we can see the Archaeological Museum. During our city tour we can also visit another important historical site: the ruins of Ayla. This city was built in the 7th century, many archaeological relics were revealed here and research is being continued even today. You can have a bath or spend an intimate evening at the Japanese Garden. Naturally I will be delighted to show you the other interesting sites and monuments of the city, and if you wish, also help you in finding the most suitable restaurant or shop. |
